“It's a dilemma that the Family Law system has to face. It's the too-hard basket for society. On the one hand, it is devastating to a parent to be told they can't see their kids, or to be put under such restrictions that a real relationship is very difficult. On the other hand, it is devastating for children to be exposed to abuse. And we need to rely on the courts to try to sort out what's going on in these cases. Now there are some judges who set the bar higher than other judges; it is a dilemma and there are no simple and straightforward answers.”
