“A judge can only ask for a family report, because it's an adversarial system. So judges have to rely on what the parties tell them, and judges often say that. 'I can only make decisions on the evidence in front of me, and the only thing I can order through the ICL is the family report.' Is that fair? It's not fair. I wouldn't want to be a Family Court judge.”
